Dr.Yele Aluko, MD, FACC

Dr. Aluko is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease with a specialty in Invasive and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and of the American Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
Dr Aluko started his private practice, Cardiology Consultants of Charlotte in July of 1989. In 1994 Dr. Aluko’s practice merged with Mecklenburg Cardiovascular Consultants to form Mid Carolina Cardiology. He is currently President and Chairman of the Board at Mid Carolina Cardiology, a 29-physician group, and the second largest private practice cardiovascular group in the Carolinas.
He has been involved in numerous clinical research studies as a principal and co investigator. His clinical expertise and interests include complex coronary interventions, valvuloplasty, and percutaneous transcatheter closure of cardiac septal defects.
Dr Aluko is currently a Board member of the Association of Black Cardiologists, and Chairman of its By-Laws Committee.
Dr. Aluko demonstrates vocal and visible commitment to both local and national advocacy efforts that address the issue of health care disparities within minority populations. He currently serves as the President-elect of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA)
